Behind the Lens: What Really Happens on Shoot Day with LEKKER Studios
The home is prepped. The light is right. The listing is ready to meet its audience. But what actually happens once our team pulls up to the property? For agents booking their first session — or sellers nervous about strangers moving through their home — knowing the rhythm of shoot day removes the guesswork and lets everyone focus on what matters: capturing the property at its absolute best.
Before We Arrive
A great shoot day starts before the car is even in the driveway. Our team reviews the property details, square footage, shot list, and any special requests in advance, so there’s no scrambling once we’re on-site. If drone footage is part of the package, we’ll also check airspace restrictions and weather conditions ahead of time to make sure flight plans are solid.
Agents and sellers play a part here too. A home that’s staged, decluttered, and camera-ready before our arrival allows us to spend our time creating, not tidying. The smoother the handoff, the more time we can dedicate to the shots that sell.
The Walkthrough: Setting the Shot List
Every session begins with a quick walkthrough. This is where we:
- Identify the strongest angles and sightlines in each room
- Confirm lighting conditions and adjust blinds, lamps, or fixtures accordingly
- Flag any last-minute staging tweaks — a chair out of place, a cord in frame
